For Spring 2023 Clarks Cycle Systems have launched a new range of brake sets, under their new brand CRS - Clarks Race Series

The CRS C4 is a 4 piston hydraulic disc brake which provides the rider with a competition level brake set, featuring full adjustment and modulation. Each calliper has 4 x 16mm stainless steel self-adjusting pistons with machined piston heads for reduced friction operation. Heat dissipation features designed into the single piece CNC calliper, keep braking performance consistent and in-turn help to reduce pad wear. Lightweight 2 finger brake levers with ergonomic vented lever blades, offer controlled, sensitive braking by using an ‘on the fly’ lever reach adjustment screw. The C4  is supplied with aerospace grade aluminium floating rotors with stainless steel braking bands, hoses and mineral oil.

Heat dissipation features designed into the rotor, work in conjunction with the calliper, to keep braking performance consistent and in-turn help to reduce pad wear. Lightweight 2 finger brake levers offer controlled, sensitive braking with lever reach adjustment and comfortable ergonomic lever blades. The C2  is supplied with aerospace grade aluminium floating rotors with stainless steel braking bands, hoses and mineral oil.

The Clarks M4 (2022 version) is their most powerful brake produced to date. Featuring the revised calliper design with 4 pistons per calliper, it applies more braking force to the rotor than any other Clarks M range of hydraulic brakes. Designed to meet the demands of downhill riders and e-bike riders and commuters who need more stopping power from their brakes. The M4 has a 2 finger ergonomic lever blade with reach adjustment, forged alloy callipers and uses mineral oil fluid.

Please note check the serial number found on the inside of the lever blade. Serial Letter 'L' uses a VX/VRX852, Serial letter 'O' uses a VX/VRX811 pad.

The M3, delivers superior looks with an alloy cast radial style lever. Clarks have engineered out a large amount of weight from the brake system as well as drastically improving the overall aesthetics. The radial design lever increases the room available on the handlebar so creating a cleaner look on the bike. Calliper weight and aesthetics have also benefited from alloy casting as well as the systems ability to deal with heat build-up. The M3 uses 2 pistons per calliper, and with a large internal fluid capacity braking power is improved by 25% compared with the M2. The M3 will to appeal to many riders from leisure cyclists to the dedicated downhill rider.
